AWS launches Context knowledge graph service to build an AI “context layer” from agent usage

Amazon AWS has introduced AWS Context, a knowledge graph service designed to automatically build and continuously refine an enterprise context layer for AI agents. The launch also includes the general availability of Amazon S3 Annotations and a preview of skill assets in AWS Glue Data Catalog, with an emphasis on no data migration, inherited IAM and Lake Formation permissions, and Apache Iceberg support. The move comes as Snowflake, Microsoft, Redis and Pinecone roll out similar context-layer capabilities, underscoring intensifying competition among cloud and data vendors.
