U.S. weekly jobless claims fall to 187,000, beating expectations

ChainThink cited Trading Economics data showing that U.S. initial jobless claims for the week ended July 18 came in at 187,000, below the market consensus of 212,000. The prior week's figure was revised up to 209,000 from 208,000.
