LayerZero Teams Up With Keeta to Move Tokenized Bank Deposits Across Multiple Blockchains

LayerZero has partnered with Keeta to support the transfer of tokenized commercial bank deposits across public blockchains including Keeta Network, Ethereum, Solana, and Base, positioning the collaboration as cross-chain settlement infrastructure for institutions. Under the arrangement, LayerZero's interoperability protocol will be integrated with Keeta's compliance infrastructure, enabling institutional users to run fund management and payment services. Keeta has also introduced Keeta Stablecoins, which are backed by commercial bank deposits held by Bivo, a U.S.-licensed fintech platform. Keeta said the structure differs from traditional stablecoins by using actual commercial bank deposits as backing and allowing issuers to retain smart-contract control through LayerZero's Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard. Keeta Stablecoins are set to launch later this month, starting with U.S. dollar support. Keeta plans to add additional fiat currencies, including the euro, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, British pound, Canadian dollar, Mexican peso, UAE dirham, and Hong Kong dollar. (The Block)
