Namibia’s Youth in Oil & Gas Summit said the Venus development is expected to draw more than US$11 billion in development spending and another US$7 billion during operations. More than US$2 billion of that could go to local procurement across the Erongo, Khomas and //Kharas regions, it said. National oil company Namcor presented the figures as part of a push to raise youth economic participation and build local capacity ahead of first production.
