Ethereum Social Sentiment Nears Pre-2025 Rally Lows, Santiment Data Show

Social media discussions around Ethereum have fallen sharply and now sit close to depressed levels seen before ETH's 2025 market uptrend, on-chain sentiment platform Santiment reported on Jan. 11. When the crypto community appears to "give up" on Ethereum and sentiment turns highly negative, ETH has often seen abrupt price moves higher, Santiment noted. ETH hit a yearly low of $1,472 on April 9, 2025, then surged nearly 70% within about four months to move back toward its 2021 all-time high of $4,878 by Aug. 23, 2025, according to the data cited. Santiment analyst Brian Quinlivan said the currently weak mood around ETH suggests it is unlikely to see much further significant downside.
