Checkonchain: Average bitcoin mining cost seen around $88,000 in mid-March, above BTC's ~$69,000 spot price

Checkonchain's difficulty regression model puts the average cost to mine one bitcoin at roughly $88,000 as of mid-March. With BTC trading near $69,000, miners are losing about $19,000 per coin on average. Higher energy prices linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East are adding further pressure to mining margins.
