Apple Pulls Fake Ledger Live App From App Store After $9.5 Million Crypto Theft
April 16 — Apple says it has removed a scam app that posed as the Ledger Live self-custody wallet from the App Store. The takedown follows an on-chain probe cited by Finance Feeds showing more than 50 victims were drained of a combined $9.5 million in cryptocurrency over roughly a week. On-chain investigator ZachXBT previously reported the counterfeit Ledger Live app was available between April 7 and April 13, 2026. The stolen funds spanned multiple networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Tron and Ripple.
