On 12 December 2025, Hex Trust announced a wrapped version of XRP designed to operate across multiple blockchains, initially launching on Solana. The new wXRP token is fully backed by native XRP held in regulated, audited custody and connects via LayerZero's OFT standard to support cross-chain DeFi use cases. Galaxy Digital issued short-term commercial paper on December 11, 2025, raising $50M through debt tokenized on the Solana blockchain. J.P. Morgan arranged the transaction, while Coinbase acted as custodian and lead investor alongside Franklin Templeton. The bank said that proceeds from both issuance and redemption will be settled in USDC.

Blockworks and the Solana Foundation plan to roll out Lightspeed IR, an investor-relations platform for institutional allocators in the Solana ecosystem, in Q1 2026.
