FAQ
About Quantoz USDQ (USDQ)
What Is Quantoz USD (USDQ) and How Does It Work?
Quantoz USDQ (USDQ) is a MiCA-compliant electronic money token (EMT) stablecoin issued by Quantoz Payments, fully backed 1:1 by US dollar reserves and highly liquid instruments held in segregated EU tier-1 banks under Dutch Central Bank supervision. You mint USDQ by converting fiat USD through registered issuers and redeem it on-chain via smart contracts, enabling fast, low-cost, and transparent dollar payments across Ethereum, Algorand, and other supported blockchains.
Who Issues USDQ and Which Regulatory Authority Supervises It?
Quantoz USDQ is issued by Quantoz Payments BV, a Netherlands-incorporated Electronic Money Institution (EMI) that holds an EMI license and is prudentially supervised by the Dutch Central Bank (De Nederlandsche Bank, DNB). In addition, Quantoz’s EMT whitepaper has been submitted to the Dutch Financial Markets Authority (Autoriteit Financiële Markten, AFM) under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), ensuring ongoing compliance and transparency.
How Is USDQ Stablecoin fully Collateralized and Backed?
Quantoz USDQ is backed 1:1 by US dollar fiat reserves held in segregated accounts with systemically important Tier 1 banks, plus an additional 2% over-collateralization to satisfy MiCA’s safeguarding requirements. These reserves, composed of cash and highly liquid instruments such as government bonds and T-bills, are managed by Stichting Quantoz, a bankruptcy-remote foundation, and are prudentially supervised by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB), with regular audits and on-chain proof-of-reserve disclosures to ensure full transparency and stability.
When Was Quantoz USD Stablecoin Launched?
Quantoz USD (USDQ) is issued by Quantoz Payments BV - a subsidiary of Quantoz N.V., the Utrecht-based fintech firm founded in 2013 by Henri Jong and Gaston Hendriks, and launched its U.S. dollar-pegged Electronic Money Token (EMT) on 18 November 2024. Designed to meet EU MiCA requirements, USDQ is fully backed 1:1 by fiat reserves held in segregated accounts under Dutch Central Bank supervision, with third-party audits and Chainlink Proof-of-Reserve attestations ensuring ongoing transparency.
Since launch, Quantoz has steadily expanded USDQ’s reach:
1. November 2024: USDQ live on Ethereum mainnet; whitepaper submitted to Dutch financial authorities.
2. February 2025: First trading pairs (e.g. BTC/USDQ) go live on major CEXs, including BingX.
3. April 2025: Algorand integration introduces USDQ as an ASA token, unlocking high-speed, low-fee transfers on Algorand’s network.
Roadmap ahead includes broadening cross-chain bridges, additional listings on both centralized and decentralized venues, and continued enhancements under MiCA as EU stablecoin regulation comes into force.
What Are the Key Use Cases of USDQ Stablecoin?
USDQ facilitates efficient cross-border payments and serves as a stable medium of exchange for businesses and consumers, while DeFi participants leverage it for yield farming, liquidity provisioning, and as collateral for loans. You can also trade USDQ on the BingX spot market by navigating to the “Stablecoins” section, selecting the USDQ/USDT pair, and placing market or limit orders with real-time pricing and low 0.1% spot fees for seamless execution.
How to Mint (Buy) and Redeem (Sell) USDQ Stablecoin Tokens
Follow these simple steps to mint and redeem USDQ stablecoins:
How to Mint (Buy) USDQ
Minting USDQ lets you convert your fiat dollars into on-chain stablecoin tokens in a few simple steps.
1. Open an Account & Complete KYC: Register with a MiCA-authorized issuer such as Quantoz Payments BV. Complete identity verification (KYC/AML) to unlock minting and redemption functions.
2. Deposit USD into Segregated Bank Account: Initiate a USD bank transfer (e.g., SEPA, SWIFT) to the issuer’s designated, segregated Tier-1 bank account. Your funds are held 1:1 in reserves managed by Stichting Quantoz, ensuring full backing.
3. Mint USDQ on the Portal or via Smart Contract: Log in to the Quantoz Payments dashboard (or connect your wallet to their minting dApp). Select “Mint USDQ,” enter the amount of USD you wish to convert, and confirm. USDQ tokens are issued to your designated ERC-20 (or Algorand/Solana) address in real time.
How to Redeem (Sell) USDQ
Redeeming USDQ allows you to burn your tokens and receive back the equivalent amount in fiat USD.
1. Access Your USDQ Holdings: Connect the wallet holding USDQ to the Quantoz Payments portal or use the issuer’s redemption DApp.
2. Submit a Redemption Request: Choose “Redeem USDQ,” specify the amount to burn, and confirm the transaction on-chain. Under MiCA rules, registered EEA holders have the right of redemption at par value at any time.
3. Receive USD Back to Your Bank: Once USDQ tokens are burned, the equivalent USD is transferred from the segregated reserve account to your bank. Redemption typically settles within 1–2 business days, with timing and fees varying by service tier.
Is USDQ Audited, Transparent, and Safe to Use?
Quantoz USDQ undergoes regular, independent third-party audits and smart-contract security reviews to verify that its on-chain supply matches off-chain fiat reserves, with attestations published monthly on QuantozPay.com for full transparency. All USDQ reserves are held in segregated Tier-1 bank accounts under Dutch Central Bank supervision, and the underlying smart contracts powering minting and redemption are continuously monitored and tested to ensure the stablecoin remains safe, compliant, and fully backed at all times.
Which Blockchain Is Quantoz USD Stablecoin Issued on?
Quantoz USDQ is deployed as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain and, since April 2025, also as an Algorand Standard Asset (ASA) on the Algorand network, providing broad, low-cost on-chain access and interoperability across both EVM and non-EVM ecosystems.
What Are the Transaction and Network Fees for USDQ Transfers?
On-chain USDQ transfers incur only the standard network (gas) fees of the underlying blockchain. There are no additional token-specific fees charged by Quantoz for peer-to-peer transfers. On Ethereum, you pay the prevailing ERC-20 gas fee in ETH (which can range from a few dollars up to $10-$20 during congestion), and on Algorand each USDQ transaction costs a flat 0.001 ALGO (roughly $0.001). Note that while transfers themselves carry no extra charge, Quantoz Payments reserves the right to apply a “wallet management fee” on certain services such as redemption, as specified in its Terms of Service.
Which Wallets Support USDQ and How to Store It Securely?
You can store USDQ directly in your BingX Spot Wallet for maximum convenience and integrated trading access. Just log in to your BingX account, navigate to “Spot Wallet,” search for USDQ, and deposit or buy the token; your balance will be held securely on the exchange with industry-standard custodial safeguards and 2FA protection.
For self-custody, USDQ is supported by a wide range of non-custodial wallets. Popular software options include MetaMask, Trust Wallet, imToken, Coinbase Wallet, TokenPocket, Torus, and Guarda Wallet. For the highest security, keep only small trading amounts in hot wallets and store larger USDQ balances on hardware wallets such as Ledger, always verify the USDQ contract address before adding it, back up your seed phrase in a safe, offline location, enable any available passphrase or multi-signature features, and regularly update your wallet software to protect against vulnerabilities.
