Genomma Lab Internacional (BMV: LAB B) reported second-quarter 2026 results with net income up 5.5% year over year and gross margin expanding 106 basis points to 64.6%. EBITDA margin was 21.8%, in line with the company’s expectations. Consolidated like-for-like sales fell 3.6%, though monitored retailer sellout in Mexico turned positive in the first two weeks of July, the company said.

Merck KGaA said it will acquire U.S. life sciences company Bio-Techne (NASDAQ: TECH) for $73 per share in cash, valuing the deal at an enterprise value of $11.3 billion and representing a 36% premium to Bio-Techne’s one-month average price. The transaction is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals. Bio-Techne will be delisted after completion, and Merck KGaA said the acquisition will strengthen its position in faster-growing areas such as multiomics, spatial biology, and cell and gene therapy. Merck KGaA expects annual cost synergies of about EUR 140 million.
