Oil slips as tankers keep moving through Middle East conflict zones; Brent at US$89.45, WTI at US$83.90
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Brent and WTI retraced after the prior session's war-driven spike as shipping data showed continued tanker flows via Bab el-Mandeb and limited but not fully halted exports, tempering near-term supply-disruption fears. However, escalation risk remains elevated as strikes expand across the region, Hormuz access stays constrained, and Red Sea security threats broaden. Near-term pricing is likely to stay dominated by geopolitical risk premium and transport-route updates.

Brent crude futures fell 1.42% to US$89.45 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) slipped 0.66% to US$83.90. Both contracts had surged nearly 8% in the previous session on escalating Iran-related fighting. Shipping data showed 39 commodity vessels entered the Red Sea via the Bab el-Mandeb strait on Tuesday, the highest since July 19, while only a few transited the Strait of Hormuz. The traffic suggested key routes were not severely disrupted, easing near-term concerns over supply interruptions.
