India fertiliser industry urges higher Kharif subsidy rates as input costs jump 100%–200%
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
India's fertiliser industry is pushing for higher nutrient-based subsidy rates for the Kharif season as Middle East disruptions drive key input costs up 100-200% (some 3-4x), making current economics unviable. The government has already raised P&K subsidies 12% to Rs 41,534 crore and set per-kg rates for N, P, K and S. The news is mainly a domestic fiscal/support measure with limited direct tradable-asset linkage.
