GM’s Chevy Equinox EV deliveries slide 92% in Q3 as Cadillac electric SUVs account for nearly half of sales
GM's Q3 U.S. EV deliveries fell sharply, led by a 92% drop in Chevy Equinox EV sales, with broad declines across Blazer and Silverado EVs. Management cited a smaller EV market and model discontinuations, while Reuters noted materially reduced Bolt build plans after the $7,500 tax credit ended. The data reinforce weakening EV demand and policy sensitivity, potentially pressuring near-term expectations for GM's electrification trajectory.

General Motors reported broad declines in U.S. EV sales in Q3, led by the Chevy Equinox EV with 1,905 deliveries, down 92% year over year. The Chevy Blazer EV fell 84% to 5,199 and the Silverado EV dropped 58% to 1,655. GM attributed the slide to a much smaller EV market and discontinued vehicles, while Cadillac’s Lyriq, Optiq and other electric SUVs also posted double-digit declines.
