ZetaChain's Solana Migration Vote Poised to Pass as Support Hits 99.4%
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
ZetaChain's governance vote to migrate ZETA to Solana is nearing passage with 99.4% support and quorum met, signaling a strategic pivot away from maintaining its own L1. A 1:1 conversion would keep supply and vesting intact, but Solana's lower decimal precision could create minor rounding effects. Approval only authorizes preparation of a follow-up proposal covering the swap mechanics, exchange coordination, and L1 wind-down timeline.

ZetaChain's governance vote to migrate the ZETA token to Solana was on track for approval as of Sept. 20, with 99.4% of participating votes backing Proposal 68 ahead of the ballot's 14:58 UTC deadline.
Published on the project's official blog on Sept. 17, the proposal would turn ZETA into a native SPL token on Solana and set ZetaChain on a path to eventually wind down its own Layer 1 network. The plan also includes moving the team's private artificial intelligence application to the same chain.
Proposal 68 details a 1:1 conversion of ZETA to Solana while keeping the ticker and total supply unchanged and creating no new tokens. ZetaChain said vesting schedules would remain on their original timelines, and holders would receive equivalent balances on Solana covering locked and staked positions as well as Anuma credits.
One technical change involves token precision. ZETA currently uses 18 decimals; the proposed Solana-native version would use 9. Amounts below the supported precision would be rounded down.
ZETA already issued on Ethereum and BNB Chain is not covered by the proposal. ZetaChain also said it would not wrap the Solana asset against tokens permanently locked on its own chain, arguing that any bridge would rely on a network it intends to retire.
On ZetaHub, the live tally showed 58% participation, above the 40% quorum requirement, with 0.3% voting against and 0.3% abstaining. Voting opened Sept. 17 and runs for 72 hours, ending at 14:58 UTC on Sept. 20.
Even if Proposal 68 passes, it would not by itself move ZETA or stop the network. It would authorize core contributors to draft a second proposal specifying the migration mechanism, snapshot height, exchange arrangements and the L1 shutdown timeline. The team said validators would continue validating and users could continue staking until that later vote passes, and that contributors would first coordinate swap procedures with exchanges that list ZETA.
The shift extends beyond the token. ZetaChain said its private AI application Anuma, which it claims has surpassed 300,000 users, along with its Private Memory Layer, would migrate to Solana as well. The project framed the move as a cost decision, saying operating its own Cosmos-based Layer 1 no longer advances its private AI goals, and cited Solana's sub-second, sub-cent settlement as better suited for agent-scale activity.
In Anuma, users lock ZETA to receive credits used for AI consumption. The company characterized Anuma's privacy features as design descriptions and said the post-migration staking model remains under active exploration.
