Bitcoin Tops $86,000 as Spot and Perpetual Futures Buying Extends Rally

AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Bitcoin's move above $86,000 appears driven by spot and perpetual futures buy pressure, indicating improving risk appetite while leverage and profit-taking gradually increase. Options data suggests long leverage is rebuilding, but the put/call ratio remains well below historical peak-overheating levels, and perpetual funding stays below neutral, implying restrained speculation. Divergent ETF flows are the main countertrend signal, potentially tempering follow-through.

Sept. 21 (UTC+8) — Glassnode said Bitcoin climbed to $86,000, up more than 10% from last Sunday's close, supported mainly by buying pressure in spot markets and perpetual futures. The firm noted that leverage and profit-taking activity have been edging higher as prices rise. By contrast, ETF flows remain mixed and continue to stand out as the only countertrend signal. Glassnode added that as BTC neared $86,000, long-side leverage in the options market has started to rebuild. The open-interest put/call (P/C) ratio ticked up slightly, but remains well below the overheated levels seen near prior bull-market peaks. Perpetual futures positioning also appears cautious, with funding rates still below neutral. (Source: Foresight News)
