Apollo Pipes swings to Q1 loss as sharp PVC price swings squeeze margins
AI مارکیٹ کا خلاصہ
Apollo Pipes reported a FY27 Q1 net loss (INR 2.5bn) versus a prior-year profit, with EBITDA down 85% and margin compressing to ~1% despite 7.4% revenue growth. Management attributed the earnings deterioration to sharp PVC price volatility, underscoring input-cost instability and weaker operating leverage. The print is likely negative for near-term risk appetite toward the name and closely linked India building-materials exposure.

Apollo Pipes reported results for the first quarter of FY27, posting a net loss of INR 250 million, reversing from a net profit of INR 1.25 billion a year earlier. Revenue rose 7.4% year on year to INR 29.5 billion, while EBITDA plunged 85.3% to INR 303 million, taking the EBITDA margin down to 1.03%. Sales volume slipped 3% to 24,477 tonnes.
