HypurrFi flags suspected domain hijacking, urges users to avoid hypurr.fi
According to ME News, DeFi lending protocol HypurrFi issued a security notice on April 4 (UTC+8) saying its website domain may have been compromised and the team is investigating a potential domain-hijacking incident. The project warned users: "Do not use the hypurr.fi domain," and advised the community not to interact with the platform until further notice.
HypurrFi said user funds are not currently at risk and that its official social media accounts remain under team control. The protocol runs on HyperEVM and has about $30 million in total value locked (TVL).
Analysts noted that domain hijacking is a common attack vector in crypto. Even when underlying smart contracts remain secure, attackers can alter frontend pages to inject malicious code or wallet-stealing scripts, potentially putting users' assets at risk. (Source: ChainCatcher)
