Harvard endowment sells out of spot Ethereum ETF, trims IBIT stake 43% in Q1 2026

Harvard's endowment reduced its holdings in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) by about 43% in the first quarter of 2026 to 3,044,612 shares, valued at roughly $117 million, according to SEC Form 13F filings. The cut follows a 21% reduction in the fourth quarter. The endowment also liquidated its entire $86.8 million position in BlackRock's spot Ethereum ETF. In contrast, Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala raised its IBIT stake to 14,721,917 shares, worth about $566 million, from 12,702,323 shares at the end of 2025.
