Indian media reports say CoinDCX co-founders Sumit Gupta and Neeraj Khandelwal were detained and sent to police custody until March 23 in a case tied to an alleged investment fraud. The complaint alleges a loss of about 71.6 lakh rupees (roughly $85,000) connected to a scheme promising high returns and CoinDCX-linked franchise rights. CoinDCX rejects the allegation, saying the fraud was executed via impersonators operating copycat websites rather than its platform.

On March 12, a user swapped about $50.4 million in aEthUSDT for roughly $36,000 in aEthAAVE via Aave's interface using a CoW Swap-powered widget. Aave later attributed the loss to extreme illiquidity and introduced a new "Aave Shield" protection, while CoW Swap detailed a chain of infrastructure failures and a suspected private mempool leak. On-chain data also shows major MEV extraction from the transaction and has revived questions about Aave's 25-basis-point swap fee flows.

On Sunday, lending platform Venus Protocol on BNB Chain suffered a price manipulation exploit involving Thena's low-liquidity THE token, leaving an estimated $2.15 million in bad debt. On-chain analysts reported that the operation was funded via Tornado Cash and may have generated little or no direct on-chain profit for the attacker.
