Plume has started a payroll pilot that lets employees take a portion of their wages in WisdomTree’s WTGXX, a regulated tokenized money market fund. Built with partners Toku and WisdomTree, the model delivers a yield-bearing asset at payday rather than paying only cash-like stablecoins. Plume will begin with its own staff while exploring whether payroll can become a broader channel for onchain financial products.

Bitcoin and ether ETFs posted a second consecutive session of net inflows, with bitcoin funds taking in $117.63 million and ether funds adding $31.17 million. Bitcoin ETF trading volume reached $3.11 billion with net assets at $87.46 billion, while ether ETF volume hit $1.03 billion and net assets rose to $11.98 billion. In contrast, XRP and solana ETFs saw no trading activity, ending with net assets of $943.73 million and $805.84 million, respectively.

Bitcoin ETFs started the week with a $69.44 million net inflow, led by ARKB ($33.03 million) and FBTC ($28.89 million), while total net assets slipped to $85.47 billion. Ether ETFs turned positive after eight straight outflow days, logging a $4.96 million net inflow despite a $9.76 million withdrawal from ETHA. In contrast, XRP ETFs saw a $2.31 million outflow and Solana ETFs posted a $6.17 million outflow, as smaller products continued to face selling pressure.

The U.S. Department of Labor has proposed a rule that could permit 401(k) plans to add cryptocurrencies and other private-market investments, while leaving final inclusion decisions to plan fiduciaries. The proposal would start a 60-day public comment period before regulators decide whether to finalize it, as supporters cite diversification benefits and critics warn about volatility, valuation challenges, and liquidity risks.

Bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds logged a combined $503 million in weekly net outflows during the last full trading week of March. On Thursday, crypto ETFs stayed under pressure, led by $171.22 million in net outflows from bitcoin ETFs while ether ETFs logged their seventh straight day of redemptions at $92.54 million. Blackrock’s IBIT saw $41.92 million leave, and ETHA recorded a $140.24 million exit even as ETHB brought in $96.81 million. Solana ETFs slipped by $1.04 million, while XRP ETFs showed no trading activity with assets unchanged at $949.15 million.

Morgan Stanley's proposed spot bitcoin ETF, the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT), has received an NYSE Arca listing notice, a development that typically comes shortly before trading begins. An SEC filing dated March 17 says the fund is designed to hold bitcoin directly and track its price without leverage or derivatives, with a 50,000-share seed structure worth about $1 million. Fees have not been disclosed publicly, but the move could add competitive pressure as BlackRock's IBIT and Fidelity's FBTC each charge 0.25%.

On Tuesday, bitcoin and ether ETFs swung back to net outflows, while solana and XRP ETFs recorded small net inflows. Bitcoin ETFs saw a $74.53 million exit and ether ETFs lost $40.80 million, even as solana ETFs added $4.64 million and XRP ETFs took in $1.40 million. Trading volumes stayed elevated, but net assets for the major funds ended lower.
