On December 10, Web3 security provider CertiK presented its latest security practices at the Global Blockchain Show during Abu Dhabi's fintech week, with CBO Jason Jiang delivering a keynote on fintech innovation, digital transformation, and virtual asset rules. Jiang referenced CertiK's 2025 H1 Web3 Security Report, which recorded about $2.47 billion in security-related losses, and urged the industry to improve wallet hygiene, threat intelligence sharing, and basic operational security to support wider blockchain adoption.

At its Institutional Gala in Dubai, Bybit said it has secured full authorization under the UAE's Virtual Asset Platform Operator framework and outlined plans for a regulated, institution-focused digital asset platform. The exchange reported that institutional asset inflows rose from about $1.3 billion in Q3 to $2.88 billion in Q4, with assets under management increasing from $40 million to $200 million over the same period. Bybit also upgraded its INS Credit Suite to offer up to 5X leverage and support custody-based real-world asset tokens, while cutting Market Maker Gateway execution latency from 30 milliseconds to 5 milliseconds.

On December 8, dYdX governance began reviewing a proposal to add BONK as an integration partner under its Partner Revenue Share Program, according to dYdX. The plan calls for a BONK-branded frontend that routes orders to the dYdX Chain and allocates 50% of protocol fees to attributed flow, with a vote scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2025. The exchange has also advanced similar proposals from CCXT, Foxify and CoinRoutes.

On December 9 2025, Tezos-based French fintech Lyzi said Porsche Centre Montpellier and Lamborghini Bordeaux became the first dealerships in their respective networks to accept cryptocurrency payments for vehicle purchases, supporting Bitcoin, Tez, EURC, USDC and more than 80 other digital assets. Lyzi also launched a crypto donations platform for Doctors of the World, allowing contributions to around 400 humanitarian programs in over 80 countries. The company added that its Web3 payments solution is now live at more than 800,000 points of sale after a €1.3 million seed round in April 2025.

Decentralized finance protocols are implementing token buyback strategies similar to corporate share repurchases. Jupiter, dYdX, and Aave have launched programs allocating portions of their revenue to purchase tokens from open markets. The initiatives aim to reduce circulating supply and demonstrate financial health while rewarding long-term holders.
