BASF raises 2026 outlook after Q2 earnings jump and Coatings divestiture
BASF reported its 2026 second-quarter and first-half results, with Q2 sales of EUR 17.2 billion, up EUR 2.4 billion year on year, and EBITDA before special items of EUR 2.4 billion, an increase of EUR 854 million. Net income for the quarter climbed to EUR 4.1 billion from EUR 79 million a year earlier. The divestiture of the Coatings business delivered a EUR 3.5 billion after-tax disposal gain and a net cash inflow of EUR 5.6 billion. BASF also raised its full-year 2026 outlook.
