Constellation Brands fell nearly 5% in premarket trading after reporting quarterly results and issuing weaker-than-expected full-year earnings guidance. SpaceX shares dropped 2.34% after reports said the company is seeking to raise about $40 billion to buy chips from Nvidia for its AI development push, in what would be its biggest-ever debt financing. Neogen rose nearly 15% after beating quarterly earnings and revenue estimates and raising its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance.

U.S. stock futures slide as Nasdaq futures fall 0.67% and Brent tops $100, with Fed minutes in focus
U.S. stock futures moved lower in premarket trading, with Nasdaq futures down 0.67%, S&P 500 futures off 0.32% and Dow futures lower by 0.56%. Brent crude rose above $100 a barrel after Iran renewed attacks on vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, offsetting signs of improving supply. U.K. gilt yields climbed 7 basis points to 5.44% as markets awaited the release of the Federal Reserve’s meeting minutes.

U.S. stock futures advance as Nasdaq futures rise 0.30% and Brent slips to $98 a barrel
U.S. stock futures were higher in premarket trading on Tuesday, with Nasdaq futures up 0.30%, S&P 500 futures up 0.25% and Dow futures up 0.52%. Brent crude fell more than 2% to $98 a barrel after the G7 agreed to release 100 million barrels from emergency reserves, while increased Middle East exports also eased supply worries. Nvidia, Microsoft and Meta traded higher ahead of the open.

FAO food price index rises to 136.0 points in September, near four-year high
The FAO Food Price Index rose 6.1% month on month in September, reaching a near four-year high. Sugar prices climbed to an 18-month peak, while the cereal price benchmark gained 5.1% amid weaker prospects for U.S. corn yields and disruptions to Black Sea grain shipments. Vegetable oil prices edged up 0.9% and meat prices fell 1.1%. The FAO kept its 2026 global cereal production forecast at 2.979 billion metric tonnes, down 2.1% year on year but still the second-largest crop on record.

Accenture to slow FY2027 hiring pace as AI lifts revenue per employee
Accenture said on its fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter earnings call that it will keep hiring across markets in fiscal 2027, but at a slower pace than in fiscal 2026. The company forecast fiscal 2027 revenue growth of 3% to 6% in local currency, including an inorganic contribution of about 2% to 2.5%. It also guided for an adjusted operating margin of 15.9% to 16.1% and adjusted diluted EPS of $14.39 to $14.81, up 3% to 6%.

Anthropic discloses $42 billion 2025 loss, eyes over $2 trillion IPO valuation and plans up to $518 billion in infrastructure spend
Anthropic said in its IPO prospectus that it posted a $42 billion net loss in 2025, including about $34 billion tied to accounting charges related to convertible financing. Revenue rose 12-fold to nearly $4.6 billion, while operating losses excluding liability writedowns widened to $8.06 billion. The company said it plans to invest as much as $518 billion in cloud computing and infrastructure over the coming years and is targeting an IPO valuation of more than $2 trillion.

Oil and Treasury yields climb as Nasdaq falls 1.2% and Dow drops more than 350 points
Major US stock indexes moved sharply lower intraday, with the Nasdaq Composite down 1.2%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average off more than 350 points and the S&P 500 down 0.9%. Brent crude rose more than 2% to $106.79 a barrel and WTI hovered around $94.40, adding to inflation worries. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield broke above 5.2% and the 30-year yield rose above 5.5%, both at multiyear highs. Big tech stocks were under pressure, with AMD down about 3% and Micron, Microsoft and Meta also falling.
