Aave Labs has submitted a governance proposal to add Circle Wrapped Bitcoin (cirBTC) as collateral on Aave V3 Core and Aave V4 Core on Ethereum. Circle launched the ERC-20 token on Ethereum mainnet on June 8, and the proposal was posted on June 10. The listing remains in the ARFC phase and would still require community feedback, a Snapshot vote, and a subsequent AIP before any on-chain rollout.

A Sky governance proposal posted on June 11 seeks to raise the LITE-PSM-USDC-A pre-minted DAI buffer and DC-IAM gap from 400 million to 800 million. The plan cites USDC reserves of 4.13 billion, up 108% since the October 7, 2024 recalibration, and would increase daily refresh capacity to 1.6 billion and serving capacity to 2.4 billion. The Core Facilitator team has cleared the change for an Executive Vote on June 12, but it still requires formal approval to take effect.

Kraken has introduced deposit and withdrawal support for USDCx on the Canton Network, widening its connectivity to institutional-oriented stablecoin rails. USDCx is presented as a Canton-native token backed 1:1 by USDC held in Circle's xReserve on Ethereum, and the exchange said the change was detailed in a June 11 product update.

Coinbase's Quantum Advisory Council says Bitcoin and other crypto networks should start preparing for a post-quantum transition ahead of any practical quantum attack. The group estimates roughly 7 million BTC could be exposed due to visible public keys or address reuse, including about 1.7 million BTC held in legacy Pay-to-Public-Key addresses.

Chainalysis reported on June 11 that an international law enforcement effort dismantled AudiA6, a laundering service it links to ransomware actors and darknet activity. The firm said AudiA6 processed about 10,333 BTC since launching in 2021, historically valued at roughly $389 million, and allegedly relied on more than 6,000 KYC-verified mule accounts plus exchange infrastructure.
