The Velas ecosystem and blockchain network was developed and launched in 2019 by Swiss developer and co-founder Alex Alexandrov. 

Alex Alexandrov doubles as the CIO of Velas with his colleague and co-founder, Farhad Shagulyamov, who is the CEO of Velas.
